Liquid Black African Soap

The Healing Apothecary Liquid Black Soap combines the purifying powers of black soap with the moisture of Shea butter. This unscented face- and body-cleanser is made from mineral-rich, raw black soap. Palm leaves and cocoa pods upgrade the classic black soap. The bark of Shea and plantain trees are diluted with distilled water in a convenient container, so messy soap bars are no longer a bathroom bummer.

• Shea Butter: Shea butter carries a tiny bit of SPF 6, but even more impressive, this moisturizing skin smoother aids in the skin’s natural collagen production. Natural acids of linolenic, palmitic, and oleic protect and nourish the skin.
• Cellulose: Cellulose contains highly humectant properties which helps draw moisture from the air and into your skin. Often used as a thickener, cellulose is a winning addition to moisturizing products like lotions and masks.
• Palm Kernel Oil: Loaded with antioxidants, palm kernel oil reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps block against harmful UV rays.

Why We Love It We know we don’t need the lather, but it’s nice to have a natural soap that lathers quite nicely in our hands and on our skin. How To Use It Shake well and squeeze a quarter sized amount into the palm of wet hands (or facial cleansing brush) and apply it to your face and décolletage in a circular motion. Rinse well. For best results, use their Rose Hydrating Mist followed by their Whipped Moisturizing Cream for a healthy balanced complexion.

What To Know Despite not being necessary for cleansing, most producers of soap will add inexpensive, unnecessary, and potentially harmful chemicals and additives in order to give soaps their lathering effect. It’s important to know not to equate lathering with the ability to cleanse as they aren’t inherently related.

What Makes It Green Instead of using toxic additives, this Liquid Black African Soap uses only four ingredients - all plant-based. This includes being free of cheap, toxic lathering agents, synthetic fragrances, sulfates and any of the other ingredients banned
