Deep Healing Cleanse White Sage is sacred to many cultures and religions for its purifying, healing, calming properties. For thousands of years, its leaves have cleansed spaces of negative energy. Historically, the power of sage releases by burning the leaves. This ethically, sustainably, and organically harvested sage bundle provides the cleanest and freshest burn and a lasting aroma.
Sacred Smudging Burning sage — also known as smudging — is an ancient spiritual ritual. Smudging has been well established as a Native American cultural or tribal practice, although all groups don’t practice it. Native Americans also used ground sage leaves in food, medicine, and body products like shampoo and hair dye.
Purifying. White prairie sage (Artemisia ludoviciana) is both antimicrobial and antibacterial. White sage (Salvia apiana) is also antimicrobial. And both have been shown to repel insects. One 2007 study found that burning sage for an hour decreased aerial bacteria levels by 94 percent with cleansing effects preserved for up to 24 hours.
Spiritual. Smudging is a generations-old practice used to connect to the spiritual realm or enhance intuition. For healers and laypeople in traditional cultures, burning sage is used to achieve a healing state or solve or reflect upon spiritual dilemmas.
This may have some scientific basis, too. Certain types of sage, including salvia sages and white prairie sage, contain thujone. Research shows that thujone is mildly psychoactive. It’s found in many plants that are used in cultural and spiritual rituals to enhance intuition.
Why we love it: It’s the freshest sage we’ve ever used and has a robust aroma that lasts and noticeably cleanses the air. It was perfect for new homes, offices, or spaces and even for
What you should know: The sage used to create this bundle is organically grown and sustainably harvested on a 40-acre family ranch in San Diego, California. The patches that produce the sage plants were grown from seedlings by the farmers who are now the only certified organic growers of White Sage in the U.S.
How to use it: Burning or Smudging sage wands is a lot like burning incense. You’ll want to light the fuller end of the wand at a 45-degree angle with a match or lighter. Allow the bundle to burn for a few seconds before blowing out the flame. There will be a continuous trail of smoke left behind for you to wave around your space or person. Doing so is believed to clear negative energies and bacteria while inviting a cleansing peace into your space. You can lengthen the burn time of your wand by gently blowing on the embers.
What makes it green: The white sage used in these bundles is certified by both the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) and the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF)

The large organic sage wand from BLK + GRN was exactly what I needed! A perfect (and truly large) sage wand that had powerful energy when smoking. I truly felt the energy in my home change. Will be saging 1x a month using this sage stick and will absolutely order more. Highly recommend!
Also, I had an issue where my first order was lost in the mail and BLK + GRN along with Route moved so quickly to fix the issue. Am pleased with my entire experience with BLK + GRN.
