We’ve all done it: altered ourselves to appease others, or at least I did. In 2013, post-toxic relationship, I realized I didn’t need to be anyone else’s idea of perfect, so I stopped straightening my hair and realized I am more than enough, when I’m truly myself. As I started to embrace my natural hair, it became startlingly clear that other women were in the exact same place as I was and wanted to feel ‘good enough’, by wearing their hair natural. So I started mixing and blending in my kitchen and when I finally arrived at my current formulation I knew I had something really special because I was proud to flaunt my curls .
