Trinity of GOLDE
This week, we're talking to Trinity Mouzon of GOLDE who is on a mission to make wellness accessible to people of color by celebrating our connection to nature with her nourishing wellness tonics.
BLK+GRN: Who are you and why do you do what you do?
TRINITY: I’m the co-founder and CEO of Golde, a Brooklyn-based brand centered in feel-good, approachable wellness. BLKGRN: What was your "Aha Moment" and when did your vision start to manifest? TRINITY: Golde was born out of my desire to build a voice in wellness that was equal parts inviting and innovative. I originally wanted to get into wellness by pursuing a career in medicine (I was pre-med at NYU!), but grew frustrated with the challenges of making holistic care accessible to all. After college, I worked in marketing for a few years and found that brand building was a major passion of mine. Golde was the perfect marriage of my love for holistic health and my drive to build an engaging brand.BLK+GRN: Why do you think it is important to Buy Black?
TRINITY: Being thoughtful about where you choose to spend your dollars is one of the simplest ways to make a difference. Buying black creates an infrastructure around POC-owned businesses that fosters economic growth in our communities.
BLK+GRN: How is your brand green? TRINITY: As a wellness company, keeping it green is critical for us. All of our products are formulated with organic superfoods — no fillers, no sweeteners, nothing artificial ever. Wellness is all about celebrating your connection to nature, so it was totally intuitive to follow the guidelines of green beauty.
