Reclaiming My Energy: Reflections on BK Shivani’s Deep Sleep Teachings
After watching How to Have DEEP SLEEP to Energize Your Mind & Body? by BK Shivani, I found myself rethinking not just how I sleep—but how I live. Her words were gentle yet firm reminders that my inner peace is mine to protect, and mine to create.
We’ve been conditioned to believe our emotional state is a reaction to what others say or do. But as BK Shivani so clearly explains, that’s one of the biggest mistakes we make. My mind has long been tied to the outside world, and when something outside of me shifts, I shift too—into frustration, hurt, criticism, or disappointment.
But the truth is: I am the creator of every thought, feeling, word, and behavior.
The Inner Battery
My mental and emotional battery gets charged or drained in everyday moments. Every time I raise my voice, snap, or stew in resentment, I’m depleting myself. But when I choose peace—even in small, seemingly insignificant moments—I’m recharging.
That means making calm and respect my default, especially when it feels difficult.
Deep Sleep is Sacred
Sleep is not a luxury-it's a necessity for healing. It's when the mind processes, restores, and resets. BK Shivani emphasized that deep rest happens between 10 PM and 2 AM, when the brain enters delta sleep. Skipping or compromising this time compromise emotional stability and clarity.
So I’m making a few intentional changes:
-
Eat a light dinner by 7:30 PM, so digestion is complete before bed.Disconnect from work by 5 PM.
-
Avoid news and overstimulating content.
-
Journal, meditate, and listen to soothing music.
-
Forgive others and myself before sleep.
-
Engage with high-vibrational content filled with compassion, love, gratitude, and acceptance—so that’s the energy my mind processes overnight.
The Four Energies: Money, Food, Mind, and Body
Another powerful framework BK Shivani shared is the four energies that fuel our lives—and the sacred order matters:
-
Money – Not just how much I earn, but how I earn it. Energy matters. Am I serving, or chasing?
-
Food – The money I use buys the food I eat. But food isn’t just nutrition—it’s energy.
-
In remembrance of the Divine
-
In remembrance of family
-
Or with a business mindset
-
-
Food is cooked in three ways:
-
When we constantly eat out, we’re consuming food prepared in the energy of business—fast, profit-focused, and emotionally distant. That energy becomes a part of us.
-
Mind – As is the food, so is the mind. A mindful meal supports a peaceful mind.
-
Body – Our body reflects the condition of the mind and food.
The Mind: The Real Power Source
Of all the four energies, the mind is where I have the most power—and where I’ve often given it away.
For so long, I believed my emotions were a direct result of what someone said or did. I thought peace was a reward for when everything outside of me was calm. But BK Shivani made it clear: the outside world doesn’t create my inner world— I do.
I am not just reacting to life—I am constantly creating my life through my thoughts. Every thought I allow, every story I replay, every word I speak—it all originates from me. If I want to feel peace, I have to think peaceful thoughts. If I want joy, I have to create it in my inner dialogue.
This shift is liberating. It means I’m not at the mercy of the world—I am in charge of my own vibration.
-
No one can make me angry unless I give permission.
-
No situation can rob my peace unless I surrender it.
-
And no moment is too small to practice sovereignty over my mind.
The quality of my thoughts shapes the quality of my behaviors, my relationships, and ultimately, my life.
This is why I now begin and end each day with 15 minutes of spiritual content, meditation, or journaling—not just for inspiration, but to literally program my mind with the emotions I want to feel and the person I want to become.
Becoming the Energy I Want to Live In
One of the most transformative ideas for me was this: begin and end each day with spiritual, high-vibrational content. Not just for information—but for transformation. When I end my day with peace, forgiveness, and stillness, my mind processes that energy all night. And when I wake with intention and meditate in the early hours of the morning—between 4 and 5 AM—I tap into my creativity and clarity.
BK Shivani’s wisdom was a clear call:
Don’t outsource your peace. Don’t compromise your energy. And don’t underestimate the power of your mind.
Instead, reclaim it. Nourish it. Protect it. And live like your energy is your greatest currency—because it is.
