Maggie Anderson
Maggie Anderson is an acclaimed author, speaker, and activist dedicated to economic justice, business diversity, and racial equity. Best known for her groundbreaking book, Our Black Year, Maggie made history by committing to buy exclusively from Black-owned businesses for an entire year. Her courageous stand was as painful as it was powerful, revealing deep systemic challenges while igniting a national conversation on economic solidarity.
A former corporate executive, Maggie left the business world to champion justice and equality through advocacy, research, and education. She now uses her platform to inspire action, drive entrepreneurship, and equip individuals and organizations with the tools to create lasting economic change. Through her powerful speeches and thought leadership, Maggie continues to fight racism, uplift Black businesses, and advance the movement for economic empowerment.
