Racheal of Golden Flourish

This week, we're talking to Rachael who after learning about ancestral natural healing at the beginning of her wellness journey, created her company Golden Flourish so that women everywhere are able to benefit from her organic tea blends that are just as nourishing and delicious as they are effective!

BLK+GRN: Who are you and why do you do what you do? RACHEAL: Im Racheal D, the creator of Golden Flourish, a holistic wellness brand focused on assisting WOC along their journey to optimal wellness. So often WOC take on the weight of others forgetting to nurture themselves. This brings me to my passion of bringing sharing the gift of wellness with the women that cross my path, through various healing modalities.

BLKGRN: What was your "Aha Moment" and when did your vision start to manifest? RACHEAL: Golden Flourish was a seed planted within me through my ancestors way before I knew. I went natural in 2012 and this is when I started to navigate back to my roots of natural healing. Here I was reconnected back to herbal medicine and began to uncover my true self. Along the journey, I met with two mentors who led me to dig deeper, to water the seeds that were planted. I began learning, growing and tending to my own self-growth when I realized how important it was for more women of color to feel nourished and supported. It was then, in 2015 the inception of Golden Flourish began. BLK+GRN: How is your brand green? Why was this important to you? RACHEAL: All of the herbs sourced in our blends are organic. Our packaging also uses minimal plastic and is reusable. This is important because we want to ensure that our customers are getting the best and most sustainably sourced herbal products, as well as reducing the amount of waste in the environment. BLK+GRN: Why do you think it is important to Buy Black? RACHEAL: It is important to buy black because why not! It provides us with the opportunity to begin and continue to support one another. To be able to grow as a community as a collective.
